Tanboocel® is a bamboo-based fibre designed with movement in mind. It’s lightweight, breathable, and ultra-soft, with a smooth feel that stays comfortable during workouts and all-day wear. Its natural moisture-managing and temperature-regulating properties make it especially well-suited for activewear, layering pieces, and styles you live in.

We often use bamboo because it is one of nature’s most resilient resources. It is a rapidly renewable crop that reaches maturity in just a few years, requiring significantly less water than conventional cotton. Because bamboo naturally regenerates from its own roots after harvest, it keeps growing without the need for replanting—making it a mindful choice that prioritizes land efficiency.

The result is a signature fabric that is incredibly soft and breathable, offering a high-performance feel with a lighter environmental footprint than traditional, resource-intensive textiles.

True performance begins with the right fiber. While bamboo is our heart, we believe in choosing the best material for every design. Cotton is a classic for a reason—especially for the structure and warmth required in hoodies and sweatpants.

That is why we prioritise organic cotton and bamboo–cotton blends when they offer the best balance of durability, comfort, and a lower environmental footprint. We don’t believe in a one-fabric-fits-all approach; we believe in choosing what works best for your body and the garment’s purpose.

Tanboocel® fibres are made using a closed-loop production process that recovers and reuses water and processing solvents. The FSC® certified wood pulp supports responsible sourcing, while OEKO-TEX® certification confirms the fibre has been tested for harmful substances. Compared to conventional manufacturing methods, this system is designed to reduce waste and resource use while delivering consistent, high-performance fabric quality.

No fabric is impact-free, but Tanboocel® is designed to be a more responsible choice. Bamboo is a naturally resilient crop that requires fewer resources to reach maturity, while our closed-loop production process helps lower our environmental footprint compared to conventional synthetic manufacturing. We focus on making thoughtful material choices that balance high-level performance, everyday comfort, and long-term sustainability..

Transparency matters more than buzzwords. Even when bamboo is grown organically, the process of refining it into a soft, wearable fibre involves a transformation that goes beyond what traditional 'organic' certifications cover. Because of this, we choose not to label the final Tanboocel® fabric as organic - it is about being accurate, not catchy.

Instead, we focus on responsible sourcing, smart production, and meaningful certifications that address chemical safety, sustainable forestry, and fair labour. We would rather tell you exactly what a fabric is (and isn’t) than oversimplify a complex journey.

To ensure your activewear has the stretch and recovery it needs to move with you, we incorporate a small amount of elastane. We have chosen recycled elastane to minimize our impact - ensuring that even our performance elements aren't created from scratch.

While we aren't perfect yet, we are actively on the hunt for plant-based stretch alternatives as we work toward our long-term goal of becoming fully plastic-free. We believe in being honest about where we are today while staying committed to where we want to be tomorrow.
