FAQ
How do I choose the correct size?
If you're used to sizing down in activewear for a more sculpting fit, we'd actually recommend sticking to your regular clothing size with OLESSA. Our fabrics are naturally soft and form-fitting - they mould to your body over time, giving you that close, comfortable fit without needing to size down. When in doubt, go with your usual size.

What makes Olessa different from other activewear brands?
Most activewear is made from synthetic fibres derived from petroleum. We chose a different path. Every fabric at OLESSA is chosen with intention - for how it feels against your skin, how it performs during movement and what it means for the planet.
We use TENCEL™ Lyocell and Tanboocel® Bamboo because they deliver genuine performance without the plastic-heavy feel. Better for your body. Better for the planet. Less compromise.
How do I take care of my Olessa pieces?
To get the most out of your OLESSA pieces, wash on a gentle or delicate cycle in cold water and air dry where possible. Avoid high heat and fabric softeners, as these can affect the natural properties of the fibres over time. Always check the care label on your specific garment for guidance.
Are your fabrics safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. All fabrics used in OLESSA garments are OEKO-TEX® 100 certified — independently tested and verified free from harmful substances. Both TENCEL™ Lyocell and Tanboocel® Bamboo are naturally smooth and gentle, making them well-suited for those with sensitive or reactive skin. Because what touches your skin every day matters.
Why doesn't Olessa use conventional synthetic fabrics?
Traditional activewear often relies heavily on fabrics derived from petroleum - polyester, nylon and spandex. While these perform, they come with trade-offs: synthetic feel against the skin, microplastic shedding and limited end-of-life options. We believe performance and more thoughtful materials aren't mutually exclusive. Our fabrics are designed to deliver both.
Is Olessa a sustainable brand?
Sustainability is something we take seriously - and approach honestly. We don't claim to be perfect, but every decision we make considers the full journey of a product: from the fibres we choose and how they're produced, to how they feel on your skin and what happens at end of life. Our fabrics are produced using closed-loop manufacturing, sourced from certified responsible origins and independently verified. It's not a marketing claim - it's built into the materials themselves.
